Spoiler: I escaped.. Ironic that alot of the fan base for far cry 5 revolves around love for the Seed family, but then again the villains are what make far cry. Honestly, the walk away ending seemed pretty weak, because presumably it's cutting off a minute or two, ten at most, before the nukes drop. The writer of 6 has confirmed it is a separate world than that of 5. So the nuke ending to 5 is still canon to that universe. Narrative director Navid Khavari reassured them and other fans that Far Cry 6 is set in a different world from Far Cry 5, and that there are only “loose” connections between all the games in the Far Cry series. Far Cry 5 to me looks nice, but I find most locations to be really boring. Just the same houses and cabins copy pasted with a shed out back and some various ammo and money to collect. There are some unique areas, particularly outposts, which have unique set piece buildings and layouts, but for the most part I was not really immersed in Hope County. All three endings of Far Cry 4 were well-done, though. That's the difference. There was a buildup, there was a payoff, and the player had a choice, even if they all lead to some grey areas. Far Cry 5's "Resist" ending was odd, but I maintain that the "Walk Away" ending was actually a great twist ending. This one was seriously unsatisfying. Most Okay: Far Cry 6 (It's not hated like New Dawn, but it's not most loved either. Like inbetween.) Barely mentioned: Far Cry and Far Cry 2 Not mentioned at all: Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry Vengeance It's my number one favorite, FC5.
